Fast Track into a Teaching Job

Getting a teaching job just got a lot easier! Did you know nearly 2,000 teacher jobs are vacant in Arizona? But now, Scottsdale Community College (SCC) has a new solution that goes beyond the Valley: a new, live online one-year teacher education certification model – the only one in the state and the only one approved by the Arizona Department of Education – perfect for any Arizona resident.

For more details, please read our fast track into a teaching letter and flyer.

COVID-19 Vaccinations
Superintendent Steve Estatico with the CVRMC nurses who gave him his vaccination.

The Superior Unified School District staff received COVID-19 vaccinations at the Superior Clinic on January 15. The vaccinations were provided by the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center (CVRMC). The vaccinations have been difficult to receive in Superior and Pinal County. CVRMC had reached out to the school and the town to provide 100 vaccinations to groups in 1a and 1b. We are grateful for their support. Special thanks to Evelyn Vargas, Frank Stapleton, and Randi Villegas. We are asking that everyone continue to do their part by wearing a mask, social distancing, staying at home, and washing your hands.

Winter Sports Announcement

Superior Unified School District made the difficult decision not to compete in winter sports this season. Due to the COVID-19 numbers continuing to spike and review of the Arizona Department of Health Metrics, the three benchmarks currently indicate that it is not safe to allow our student-athletes to participate. We are committed to keeping our students and staff healthy and safe.
